Weight: up to approx. 11.4g
Service life: 2,000,000 write/erase cycles
Reliability: MTBF (mean time between failure) of 1,000,000 hours
Durability: 10,000 insert/eject operations
*PIO mode: (Programmed Input/Output) In this mode, the CPU of the PC system is involved in each read and write operation.
**UDMA mode: (Ultra Direct Memory Access) Here, a DMA controller makes direct memory access possible, bypassing the PC system or PC system's CPU. This supports significantly faster transfer rates than the older PIO mode.
The type of memory access determines which of these options (PIO/UDMA) are possible for/required by your system (e.g. whether or not you have an on-board DMA controller)
