High-speed multimedia cards are the new generation of the standard MMC cards. While they keep the same dimensions and range of uses, the enhanced data transfer rates (20 MB/second read, 17 MB/second write) are again making the MMC standard an alternative to the SD card, and many manufacturers are thus once again starting to support the MMC format.

A MultiMediaCard reduced by about 50% when compared with a normal MMC. For use in mobile devices that support the RS-MMC card format.
